Raised high above the rest, Lord Pedestalworth is the grandest nutcracker in the Frosty Hollows collection. Rather than standing on two feet, this regal king rises from an elaborate carved pedestal like a palace statue, with his golden sceptre held proudly at his side.
He wears a green and red crown edged with gold filigree and jewel details, topped with a gold finial. His red royal coat is decorated with gold scrollwork, silver buttons, black and gold frogging and fringed gold epaulettes, and his flowing white beard and curled moustache give him a distinguished air. Below the waist, a fringed gold trim leads into a fluted green column wrapped in gold flourishes. It sits on a red and gold base supported by ornate gold shell-and-scroll feet.
This richly detailed piece makes a striking centrepiece on a mantel, sideboard, entry console or bookcase. Its traditional red, green and gold palette suits classic Christmas décor, and it’s an impressive gift for nutcracker collectors.
